Hovhannes Tumanyan House-Museum

The museum was founded in 1939 at Tumanyan's family building in Dsegh village of Lori region. Hovhannes Tumanyan (1869-1923) is one of the greatest Armenian writers of 19th century. The house-museum is a branch of the Literature and Art Museum. Tumanyan house-museum presents more than 300 valuable memorial exhibit that tell us about the life and activity of this greatest armenian writer, poet, translator, national figure and philosopher. Tumanyan house-museum is known as the most popular and the most active cultural center in the country. There is a chapel in the yard of the house-museum, which was constructed in 1994, where the heart of the writer is buried.
